夏の暑さの中ですが、父とともに旧東海道巡りをしました。といっても、もちろん東海道の一部です。静岡の島田～丸子までを歩きました。約２０キロの道のりです。
東海道は、浮世絵画家・歌川広重によって５３枚の連作にされています。「東海道五十三次」、学校の教科書に必ずといってよいほど掲載されている傑作です。私は、そこをずっと歩いていきました。ヤジさん、キタさんになったような気分でした（＾＾）
そして最後に到着したところが「丁子屋」というとろろ汁専門店でした。とても風情があり、わらぶき屋根に黒光りする板塀が印象的でした。
ここは江戸時代の茶店から長きにわたって、営業してきたお食事所だそうです。五十三次に中にもその様子は描かれています。広重もこのとろろ汁を食べたのでしょうか…？十返舎一九も…？そんなことを思いながらの小旅行でした。
